Large owners of sports and television licenses have been fighting for years against illegal IPTV costing them millions of dollars every month.
In fact, we recently talked about the new technology that DAZN has chosen to go after the illegal distribution of its content and shut down the websites responsible.
Now Sky, which has exclusive rights to the Premier League, Formula 1 and other sports in the UK, has found a way to end illegal broadcasts.
Based on torrent freakSky got great results a court order allowing them to block access to IPTV servers from sites broadcasting content without a license.
With this, Sky can not only block illegal IPTV server IP addresses, but also URLs and SSL certificates.
Apart from that, they can also immediately update the list of blocked sites without having to request a new court order which would take a long time.
This way, all Sky has to do is find the location where all its exclusive content is being distributed illegally, report the domain, server and so on, so that later it will be blocked by a different operator.
Because this content is no longer accessible via Illegal IPTVSky will be able to protect the rights it acquires in those countries.
More and more communications conglomerates are fighting against illegal IPTV and looking for ways to block and eliminate it.
