The Guardian explained that eight of the labels feature performances by Iron Maiden and all current band members. In the project a warning appears guitarists Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers, singer Bruce Dickinson, drummer Nicko McBrain and bassist Steve Harris.

Another postage stamp pays homage to the band’s mascot, current eddies, including him dressed as a samurai warrior from his recent Senjutsu album. The studio album, the group’s 17th, was released in 2021 and peaked at number 2 on the charts.

We proud to show how these six band members continue to attract more and more fans every year with their legendary music and performances, which I think this label really captures.”

“It’s great that Eddie also got the honor. It is wonderful to think that His Majesty, may he rest in peace, saw them and also lent them his iconic silhouette,” he said.

In addition David Gold, director of policy and external public affairs Royal Mail, commented so “Few bands in the history of rock music can be called true rock legends, but Iron Maiden was just that, and there were many more.”
