Gonzalo Peña, son of the new President of the Republic, highlights the way his father can lead the development of effective public policies for the country. However, he said that regardless of the important position he occupies, Santiago Peña must not neglect his essence as a person and as a father, husband, son and even a friend. “May we never forget where we came from”, he emphasized.
“I’ve always demanded things from him that, personally, I don’t like. Today I will tell him to always be true to himself and what type of person he is. He has to respect what he believes in, what he learned and demonstrated through his years of public service; I just hope it maintains its values and all that it has achieved in terms of capacity,” said the son of the new president.

He also pointed out that, considering the long years invested in his professional training, the new Executive cannot ignore all of his essence, let alone forget his origins and how he has developed over time. Besides that, He pointed out that his father had to give people what they deserved, considering their most pressing needstheir demands and the fact that they could no longer wait for their problems to be resolved.
“He is very happy about this, but also very up for this new challenge because on top of that, he also has a very capable team that he has built around him and ready to support you. With his years of experience, he will be able to lead with wide results, not to mention that everyone is very well prepared and very capable,” said Peña.
The new President of the Republic was sworn in this Tuesday morning at the age of 44. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, and thanks to a scholarship he was able to study a master’s degree in Public Administration at Columbia University, in New York, United States.
