MADRID, 31 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –

NTT Data has overhauled its leadership in the Europe and Latin America (Emeal) region and has appointed Chieri Kimura as the region’s new CEO in a move that comes after the voluntary departures of Spaniards Fritz Hoderlein and José Pablo Carbonel, CEO and Director of Operations.

Kimura will be assisted as chief consultant for the Europe and Latin America region by two Director of Operations (COO): Félix Bonmati from Spain, who will focus on Spain, Latin America, Portugal and the Benelux, and Miyuki Idea, who will focus on Italy, Romania, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, according to a statement.

In addition, Bonmati will have responsibility for business development, while Idea will focus on business support and consulting.

Both aim to ensure that the roadmap and growth goals set by companies in Europe and Latin America are maintained.

The Board of Directors has also announced the addition of Tsunehisa Okuno as co-chair. It is also the Operational Director of NTT Data Inc., a company that brings together technology businesses outside of Japan.

The company has 50,000 employees in Europe and Latin America, spread across 26 countries, and has billed 3,000 million euros in its last financial year.

NTT Data lands in Spain with the purchase of Everis, a brand it will continue to use in the country until the fall of 2021 when it begins operations with the group’s brand.

The company expects to employ 3,000 professionals in Spain alone by 2022, given the push for digital transformation and has established itself as one of the main winners of European-funded projects in this field.
