The UK has a new prime minister and the digital ecosystem is excited about a new pro-crypto figure in a position of global power. Liz Trussrecently appointed successor to Boris Johnson, he has struggled in the past for crypto regulation that does not limit his development and there is optimism about what might happen in the country during his tenure.

Britain is trying to start a stage of political stabilization after several difficult years. The exit from the European Union at the same time as the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdowns and financial problems it has caused does not allow the country to seriously work on developing a crypto regulatory framework. However, local crypto ecosystem sees hope resurface with new minister.

Two profitable options

Truss, a member of the Conservative Party, won over former Treasury Secretary and Johnson’s right-hand man Rishi Sunak. However, both candidates have a favorable view of the growth of digital asset trading in the country. This is no small fact, because the confluence of the two political forces in a regulation will facilitate, a priori, the treatment of the law in this regard.
