  • LSK Women – Avaldsnes 1-2

As expected, Avaldsnes have struggled at the bottom of Toppserien this season, are penultimate in the table, and recently lost national team player Karina Sævik to Vålerenga.

But going to LSK Kvinner there was an unexpected progress.

Drama at the end

Ida Mortensensen Natvik sent Avaldsnes the lead just before halftime.

After the break, Avaldsnes took the lead for a long time, but just over a quarter of an hour from the end, Emma Stølen Godø equalized.

Five minutes before the end, LSK’s Moa Edrud was sent off.

And with two minutes remaining, Hanna Dahl scored the winner for Avaldsnes with a beautiful free-kick.

Prior to meeting LSK Kvinner, Avaldsnes had lost ten times in a row.

Explaining the solution with the press

Separate

In Sunday’s second game at Toppserien, Kolbotn beat the jumbo table Røa.

After the next round, Toppserien was split, with the best four teams forming separate play-offs in the battle for league gold. The remaining six teams form a relegation play-off along with the two best teams in division 1.

Røa and Avaldsnes are already guaranteed a place there as they are at the bottom of the table. LSK and Kolbotn still have a chance to enter the top four, but must win in the next match.
