Luxury sleeps in a 15th century palace in the center of Seville

As you walk through the doors of the Don Ramón hotel, you inhale luxury and the strong scent of Seville. Oranges, orange blossom and lemons without being disturbed by the noise from the street, despite being right in the center, right where Trajano street meets Plaza del Duque.

Everything is measured in five-star luxury from the Kaizen group. The first of the terraces, the one with lemon, recalls the more recent past of this 15th-century home as the chair from Agrarian Chamber. A tile dedicated to San Isidro Labrador dated 1961 still bears witness. This is where you have breakfast and you can enjoy from the hotel restaurant, El Limon.

Hotel debuts are a thing of the past June 17th, but actually it has been running since mid-February. “In Holy Week we were almost full,” explains director Saray Castaño. Don Ramón is the third luxury hotel of the group chaired by María Luisa C. de Azcárate. It joins Casa Palacio María Luisa de Jerez and La Malvasía in El Rocío. Room rates vary from 450 or 480 euros at 1200-1300 euros per night. “Our client has an international tourist profile. The majority are Americans, followed by those from the UK, France and Asia.” The average stay is two and a half days more or less.

A necessary luxury tour”investment in airports to bring in more international lines. There are customers for this type of product and Seville is one of the luxury travel destinations with the greatest potential. The city is not seasonal and these types of travelers, especially Americans and Asians, are not seasonal,” said director Don Ramón.

One of the characteristics of this hotel is that technology has been integrated so that everything is for the benefit of the client. Both soundproof, geothermal energy and aerothermal energy are designed to create maximum comfort in sustainable buildings that are committed to the environment and energy efficiency.

Project

Even though you could say it has just opened, Don Ramón has plans for the future that have a lot to do with expansion on Calle Tarifa. It’s not just about going from 23 to about 40 rooms, it’s also about having a gym and meeting rooms and being able to enter the Congress segment and incentives.

Closer in time is the opening of the terrace to the Sevillian public, who can already enjoy the El Limón restaurant, where avant-garde cuisine made with local products is presented by chef Gema Cuaresma. For example, the tasting menu (65 euros per person).
