Mayor of Villa María Martín Gill traveled to England to participate in the symposium “Politics, democratic governance and sustainable development in a world full of challenges.”
According to a report from the city government, Villamariense’s president was selected along with other political, business and academic leaders in the country, and invited by the Political Action Network (RAP) “which organized the event and covered the costs of the trip.”
This activity lasts until April 21 in the cities of London and Cambridge. Throughout the conference, matters such as the global context, threats and opportunities will be discussed; sustainability, environment and climate change; the role of innovation in development; political economy reform to promote sustainable and inclusive growth; evidence-based public policy.
Together with members of the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Cambridge and leading academics from the International School for Government at King’s College London, members of the world of politics and business, they will seek to “promote reforms to respect the resources available to countries, and thereby increase investment and export. “At the same time, we will strive to encourage sustainable and inclusive growth, as well as the creation of formal and productive jobs,” the official statement added.
