In his speech at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Omar Hilale highlighted that more than 100 countries in the world have shown their support for Morocco’s autonomy formula for Western Sahara, with up to 30 countries and various organizations having opened diplomatic delegations across the region in Dakhla and El Aaiún, all of which Morocco considers its southern provinces.
