NEWS: Major deal between Russia and Iran, US and UK give approval to Ukraine and Maduro warns
In his speech on Tuesday, in the framework of joint naval exercises with China, Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the intention to strengthen the Russian Navy, including its strategic nuclear capabilities. Putin stressed that Russia will continue to strengthen its armed forces, both naval, air and land components, increasing their preparation and strike capabilities. He warned that the situation is dangerous and assured that they will do everything necessary to protect Russia and maintain global stability. Chinese troops and observers from 15 countries participated in the exercises called Command and General Staff 2024.
Germany, France and the UK have “strongly condemned” Iran for sending ballistic missiles to Russia and will impose sanctions on Iran Air. The three countries said they had confirmation that Iran had supplied short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, and a new package of sanctions is being planned against Iran, including the country’s national airline.
