As explained in the statement by the president of global affairs at Meta, Nick Clegg, European users will be able to access functions such as Reels (short videos), stories and search engines on Facebook and Instagram. regardless of content ranking based on the Meta recommendation algorithm.

The president of global affairs also pointed out that the company offers more transparency about advertising on its platform and its recommendation algorithms and which has set new boundaries about how advertisers can target youth.
But Meta doesn’t mention in its statement about Threads, a social network that launched this summer, but hasn’t reached European Union countries yet because regulations are stricter than in the United States or the United Kingdom.countries where the application is available.
