Launched in the UK just months after the discovery of a new type of chocolate.
Have you heard of ruby chocolate? Probably not, because this type of chocolate was developed at the end of 2017 by the Swiss company Barry Callebaut, and is therefore a new addition to the chocolate family.
But now, sweet tooths living in the UK will soon have the chance to try a new kind of chocolate – via the KitKat chocolate brand.

Nestlé was the first
Nestlé giant has become one of the first companies to sell ruby chocolate, with the launch of Chocolatory Sublime Ruby KitKats, in Japan and Korea.
But now, the famous pink KitKat chocolate bar is coming to the UK next week, it has been reported Daily Mail And Standard.

The name of the cocoa bean
Ruby chocolate gets its name from the cocoa beans used to make chocolate, namely Ruby beans.
The pink color is natural, and appears after the coffee beans have gone through a process to reveal their taste and color.

This new type of chocolate will be the fourth new type of original dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate.
According to some media, the taste of this new chocolate is supposed to be reminiscent of berries.
Alex Gonnella, marketing director of Nestlé’s UK confectionery division, said:
– Ruby Chocolate is a major confectionery innovation and we are very proud that KitKat is the first major brand in the UK to use this exciting new chocolate.
We hope to taste it soon in Norway too!
