For Cordovans who wish to become meteorologists, the possibility of training in the country on a scholarship is opened. More professionals in this strategic area are needed, which is why careers are promoted with this incentive.
Until October 15, scholarship applications will be open for the study, in 2023, of a degree in Atmospheric Science, at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).
The scholarship has a duration of four years and the only requirement is to have passed CBC subjects according to the degree in Atmospheric Science or its equivalent before March 2023. This program is the result of an agreement between the Ministry of Science, Technology (Mincyt), the National Meteorological Agency (SMN) and UBA.
Meteorology is the basic discipline for the development of various activities that make up people’s daily lives. Transport, disaster prevention, productive activities, health and tourism are just a few of those that depend on them, and the need for young professionals who specialize in these areas is becoming increasingly apparent.
This scholarship is intended to provide incentives to students, in order to increase the number of graduates in strategic fields and, in this way, increase the number of qualified professionals in National Science and Technology Systems institutions.
“The main objective is to take measures aimed at alleviating the situation that meteorology is currently experiencing, which is characterized by a lack of professional numbers and low career registration, resulting in an emergency situation in the field of strategic knowledge for some activities,” the national government said.

study in london
On the other hand, until November you can get postgraduate scholarships to study in London, including tickets, housing, transportation and university fees, through the Chevening Program in Argentina.
Regarding this, Pamela Maggi, program coordinator in-country, stated that “there is no set quota amount for Argentineans because we have to finalize global budget estimates.”
However, “in the last issue, about 20 people traveled out of an average total of between 500 and 600 annual applications”, he said.
This program was created in 1983 and has been running non-stop in Argentina since 1991. The program offers scholarships to spend one year in the classrooms of a UK university after obtaining a degree.
Applicants must be citizens of Argentina, have a bachelor’s degree, be fluent in English, be able to prove at least two years of work experience and be committed to returning to Argentina after completing the master’s degree. There is no age limit to register and no maximum number of trials.
Applications are made online and the first sample to select those who are eligible to apply for the scholarship is completed in the United Kingdom. February is the month in which applicants will have the first indication of whether they are still in the race or not. The winners will travel in September 2023. Interest in master’s and postgraduate degrees varies widely. You can aspire to the scholarship as a graduate of any degree program and with the aim of pursuing any type of further study, there are no thematic restrictions in this regard.
