Spain ICEX Exports and Investments, red. es and the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in London have launched the first edition of the program challenging London. This is an intensive executive training program and immersion in the ecosystem aimed at small Spanish clean tech companies looking to scale up their business model internationally.
The aim of this program is increase your scalability and growth so as to be able to compete on a global scale and become a benchmark in clean technology sectorpositioning Spain as a technology leader in this area.
Challenge London is designed for entrepreneurs who offer solutions to problems Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Energy Storage, Clean and Sustainable Transport Technologies, Carbon Capture, Circular Economy, Water Management, and Sustainable ConstructionWater Management and Sustainable Construction.
The program will run by Cambridge Cleantechone of the leading proponents of climate technology innovation in Europe, the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and Oxfordshire Greentech.
PROGRAM
The London 2023 Challenge is structured around three stages:
- preparation session where selected startups will participate in a two-day workshop in Madrid, where an introduction to the immersion program will be made, individual milestones will be identified, tasks to be carried out in preparation for the immersion program will be defined, and a public speaking workshop will be held.
- An intensive two-week immersion program in the UK in September 2023. During these weeks, participants will be offered content on business culture in the UK, markets and other general aspects of the country; visits will be made to companies, incubators and innovation centers; networking activities will be organized; there will be daily individual work sessions with mentors: reviewing pre-set milestones and individual support. The aim of these two weeks is for companies to be in direct contact with the main operators, institutions and companies as well as specific investment funds in this ecosystem and to learn how the local business culture works.
- Alumni Program: Created to provide continuity of mentoring starting during the immersion programme, strengthen feelings of community, and encourage the creation of a network of contacts, with the aim of promoting the generation of business opportunities and collaboration.
In the week of May 22 to 26, several face-to-face informative sessions in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia Open to all employers interested in learning more about the program or answering any questions they may have.
