Satellite roadside assistance is now available in the UK with Green Flag

Apple launched a satellite roadside assistance program in the United States last year, aimed at helping people with car problems in areas without cellular service. This service has now quietly spread to the UK.

You need an iPhone 14 or later to use the service, and you’ll first need to know how to use the feature to request help…

Roadside satellite assistance

We explained how to use this service last year. First, you need to be outside with a clear view of the sky and horizon.

Write a new message in messages. To view satellite roadside assistance, enter “Roadside Assistance” in the contact field. Note that this only works when you are out of Wi-Fi or cellular range. Once selected, a message will appear allowing you to select the type of engine problem you are experiencing. For example, your car locks up, you run out of fuel or battery, or your tire goes flat.

You can watch the demo video below.

The company doesn’t reveal non-member rates on its website, but a Google search shows that the premium you’ll pay for a membership over £48 is between £120 and £240, depending on location. problem
