Police have arrested a man after the stabbing outside a nightclub in downtown Oslo.

Another man was injured, but stable after the incident. Only the two should have been directly involved in the incident. The victim has been taken to the hospital. Both are men in their 50s.

Police have seized the knife used in the incident. The background of the incident is not yet known, but there are several eyewitnesses to the incident.

TV 2 has spoken to an employee at a nightclub located near the scene of the incident. He said he witnessed the entire incident.

– I was standing at the door with the guards, when we saw two men start pushing each other in the nightclub next door. Then it got more aggressive, and then our guards left, he said.

Then one of the two men allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed the other man, before he was laid on the ground by guards. He said that there were many people on the street near the incident, but it was all over before panic spread.

However, many people know about the incident.

– There are many who find it very scary.

The operations manager at the Oslo police, Line Scott, confirmed this observation to TV 2. He doesn’t think much of such incidents among people on the open road.

– We see this as a serious matter and are dealing with it accordingly. We take knives and guns very seriously. Therefore we are pleased that this was resolved so quickly.

Police first reported the incident at 10.47pm on Saturday night.
