Despite this, only nine managed to establish themselves among the top 500 and none made it into the top 100 of the ranking.

In the case of our country, this year they are the best Universities of Barcelona and Granada. Both of them managed to place themselves in the ranks of the 201st and 300th campuses with the best grades in the world. Although the two are on the same track, the ranking puts Barcelona ahead of Granada, which increased by two places compared to last year. Behind these three, all Americans, are other countries such as Cambridge (England) or Berkeley and Princeton (United States), which rank fifth and sixth respectively. Every year, the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), better known as the Shanghai ranking, publishes a ranking of the best universities in the world.
