Sunak violated the code of ethics by not detailing his wife’s business interests

MADRID, 24 AUGUST (EUROPA PRESS) –

A parliamentary investigation concluded that the British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, violated the transparency code by not disclosing his wife’s participation in a day care company that could benefit from the measures announced by the current Government, even though all would be well. due to “confusion”.

The controversy in question started with the announcement of a pilot payment test for new babysitters, with more money for those who signed up through an agency. In one of these companies, Koru Kids, Sunak’s wife, Akshata Murty, is listed as a shareholder.

The Head of Government finally gave an account of this relationship, but after being questioned about it during an appearance in Parliament and did not give an account.

An examination by the person in charge of monitoring the code of conduct in Parliament, Daniel Greenberg, concluded that while Sunak should have provided all this information, he acquitted the prime minister of any blame for negligence which he deemed “accidental”.

In fact, Sunak has accepted the conclusion and has apologized in a letter to Greenberg, so the case can be closed. Investigators will not take the case before a House of Commons committee which, if necessary, could take action against the ‘prime minister’.
