Tech & Society: Humanistic technology for the future

We are closing the 2022 edition of the co-hosted program Spanish Aspen Institute holding debates between guests of different generations to discuss the evolution of technology in recent decades.

Final meeting of the program year Technology & Society will have the participation of Ana Buitrago, Director of Amazon Legal Services for Southern Europe, Germany, and the UK; with Martha Peirano, a writer and journalist specializing in technology and power; and with Sofia Prosperous, architect and entrepreneurial privacy activist. Today’s meeting will be moderated by Louis villaexpert in strategy and digital transformation.

Our guests, whose areas of expertise are focused on technology, entered the workforce several decades apart. What are the expectations of implementing technology in your field when you join? What are the realities and setbacks you encountered? What future do you see for this sector? These are some of the questions our guests will answer during the debate.

Cycle Technology & Society from Spanish Aspen Institute Y Telephonics Foundation The goal is to establish a plural and enlightening forum for reflection on major issues raised by advances in digital technology and their influence in areas such as human relations, politics, education, culture, economics or medicine. The program consists of cycles of open conferences, where an expert in each of these subjects will present their views on how digital technologies impact our lives. All conferences that have been held since 2017 can be consulted here.
