(EFE) Cosmetics chain Body Shopwhich entered bankruptcy this month, will close nearly half of its 198 US stores great Britain and will cut about 270 jobs at its headquarters, according to its manager, FRP.
Body Shop The company employs around 2,200 people in the UK, of which 750 are at its head office.
Of the stores that will soon close, four are in London, where rents are higher, but also in the English cities of Nuneaton, Ashford and Bristol.
Other stores and digital pages will continue to operate normally while the restructuring process continues.

This company was founded in the late 70s by businesswoman Anita Roddick.who opened his first business in the city of Brighton, in the south of England.
When it went bankrupt last week, administrators said the situation was possible “stability, flexibility and security to find the best way to secure the future” from the chain.
The chain’s predicament became known after a new owner, European private equity firm Aurelius, took over the business.
Body Shop – which Roddick originally sold in 2006 to L’Oreal – has faced numerous financial challenges, coinciding with a difficult trading environment in the retail sector.

The success of the chain – founded in 1976 – turned it into a global brand, a pioneer in ethical trading and against animal testing of cosmetic products.
