The Castle of the Old Guard hosts the ‘Los Bravú’ exhibition which examines the history of Rome

Castle of Guardias Viejas is hosting until September 10 an exhibition of contemporary art by Los Bravú under the title radiance radiance whose thread is the history of Rome.

Member of the Council of Culture, Elena Gómez, together with Los Bravú members, Dea Gómez and Diego Omil, inaugurated the exhibition where works made in different techniques can be seen, from sculpture to the use of technology, oil painting or ceramics.



Gómez highlighted the “quality of the work” and stated that “the exhibition is seen as a plus for the Cycle XXIV concert at Castillo de Guardias Viejas, in such a way that the two events can complement each other and also share time. and space”.

These are intentional works, a series of paintings whose main themes revolve around Roman mythology, history and art, alluding to El Ejido’s past as the city of Murgi.

The authors commented at the opening of the exhibition that “it is a privilege to exhibit in such an exquisite enclave as Guardias Viejas Castle, it is as if the doors of the chambers are opened and we find a different treasure, which remains hidden in all weather”.

The creators of the exhibition that ‘has landed’ at Guardias Viejas, ‘Los Bravú’, have a long history associated with the world of art, their work has been exhibited in countries such as Japan, Mexico, England or the United States , in national museums such as Da2 in Salamanca and in public spaces such as the Gran Via in Madrid, where today you can see the largest tile mural in the country.
