León Gto.- President of Concamin in Mexico, José Abugaber Andonie, regrets that the United Kingdom has asked its citizens not to visit Guanajuato because of the insecurity it is experiencing.

In his opinion, this vigilance does not help, does not increase, because the issue of vulnerability is not a local issue, but a national one, which must be fought with education, including technology.

“I live here and I am very calm, I don’t know why they are sending this warning. Yes, there are municipalities in this state that are complex, but what are the industrial corridors or activities like León, we cannot cross out the entire state, ”he said.

In recent days, warnings have been issued by the government of the United Kingdom (UK) urging its citizens to avoid stepping on Guanajuato and other entities of the Republic of Mexico, considering them dangerous due to the insecurity they currently face.

The British government advises against visiting the southern part of the entity, which corresponds to municipalities such as Irapuato, Cuerámaro, Abasolo, Pénjamo, Huanímaro and Pueblo Nuevo.

Given this, the employer stated that this type of warning put Guanajuato in a negative situation; however, it is presumed that this will not affect the entity’s investment.

Finally, he called on the authorities to combat insecurity and work with intelligence.

José Abugaber announced that during this year, entrepreneurs who transport livestock and other types of products must hire a security team so that their animals or merchandise arrive safely at their destination.
