The World Artificial Intelligence Summit will hold its first meeting in the UK

The summit will address risk areas such as misuse and the dangers of loss of control over advanced AI systems.

This Monday, the British Government asked companies, academics and charitable organizations to collaborate in the preparation phase First Global Summit on Artificial Intelligence Security (IA) which will take place in the UK in November.

Through this joint initiative, which brings together civil society groups and technology leaders, the UK seeks to bring together diverse perspectives to address important issues related to AI.

An alliance between the government and leaders of civil society and the technology sector, which includes leading institutions such as Alan Turing Institute and it Royal Societyseeks to outline how technology can be used to improve lives, from revolutionizing healthcare to the challenges it poses for global governance.

The UK government announced a series of webinars and online meetings, led by figures such as the Minister for Technology, Michelle Donelanand representatives of the prime minister, Matt Clifford.

“We are weeks away from having important conversations about the direction and challenges of AI. It is critical to combat the abuse of AI and seize opportunities to improve our public services. I am determined to keep the public informed and involved in these decisions,” he said. Donelan said.
