They plan to restart British politics after the UK election

During a press conference with foreign journalists, Lammy outlined his strategy to take a progressive and pragmatic approach to global affairs if Labor wins the election on July 4.

This marks a dramatic change in the global landscape since Labor was last in power.

Last time, I remember when I was a junior minister, the UK economy was six times bigger than China’s. Yes, how the world has changed, he said.

Reflecting on the challenges facing Britain under a Conservative government, Lammy argues that Britain feels more divided than ever.

We have experienced slow or no growth under this government, and appear isolated in the global community, concerned about ourselves, and certainly not the global Britain that the Conservatives promised.

However, he remains optimistic about the country’s potential, given its position on the UN Security Council, extensive global relations, and soft power.

We need to reset our relationship with Europe and the European Union, underpinned by a new security pact between the community and the UK, Lammy concluded.
