Mercedes-Benz has made an online update to its MBUX system that allows new navigation and entertainment functions to be introduced to users. An update is available for the second generation of software.
Mercedes-Benz is doing an online update which will allow recognition new navigation and entertainment features on more than 700,000 models worldwide, through new software updates over the air, i.e. what are known as over-the-air (OTA) updates.
The new app will be available in vehicles equipped with the German company’s second generation MBUX infotainment system and can be downloaded via the display itself or with the app Mercedes hooked me up.
The first new thing is the introduction Dolby Atmos for models Class S, EQE and EQS with Plus entertainment package and the possibility of installing a Burmester sound system, allowing residents to enjoy a better sound experience.

According to Magnus Östberg, head of software design at Mercedes, the MBUX system “enables incredible in-car entertainment, immersive Dolby Atmos audio, video streaming and an enhanced navigation experience.”
