Victoria Starmer She is Britain’s new “first lady.” As the wife of Keir Starmer, the country’s new prime minister, the low-profile public health official — many Britons don’t even know her face — has had to adapt to a new, more public life.
On July 4, Labour politician Keir Starmer won a historic election that appointed him
new prime minister of england. And his wife, a very wise woman, posed with him with great enthusiasm in front of the door of their new residence, the mythical 10 Downing Street.
Only a few details are known about this wise, modest and modern woman. But on a style level we can now confirm the unquestionable realities that affect the new “first lady”:
like the color red who identifies herself with the Workers’ Party led by her husband, and wears it on many occasions. Something that Begoña Gómez, wife of the President of the Spanish Government Pedro Sánchez, also does.
Victoria Starmer, Kate Middleton’s “competition”?
Britain’s new “first lady”, whose exact age is unknown – between 49 and 51 – is
a great mystery on a personal level. It is known that she is a public health worker in the UK and is the mother of two children aged 15 and 13 with the new Prime Minister, Keir Starmer. Although she is very discreet and makes few public appearances, in her country she is already being spoken of with enthusiasm and emotion – we are talking, remember, about fashion issues –, even comparing her to Kate Middleton. With the Princess of Wales, it is true that she shares the same taste for brands such as Needle & Thread or ME + EM, as well as airy and beaded gala dresses.

But if there’s one thing that makes Victoria Starmer a trend in her husband’s world, namely politics, it’s
he expressed his love for the color red. However, the corporate tone of the Labour Party led by Starmer coincides with that of the Spanish PSOE. The party led by Pedro Sánchez, President of the Spanish Government, is also represented by the color red and his wife Begoña Gómez wears it on the most important occasions of her husband’s political life. Something that, as happened with Victoria Starmer, is not casual, but rather a communication strategy – clothing, but communication – perfectly designed.

For her election victory day, the wife of the new British Prime Minister chose
beautiful poppy red dress from the aforementioned company ME+EM. The design is made of crepe and has light pink stitching in strategic areas such as the neckline, waist or skirt. It is currently priced at €435 on the company’s official website and does not seem to have sold out, although the company has admitted that traffic on its site has increased by 300% thanks to this garment. A simple and modern design that Starmer combined with silver shoes with a pointed toe and low heels.
Victoria Starmer, the “lady in red” in Downing Street sneakers
The new “First Lady” has had a busy few days. Since the July 4 election, where her husband won by a landslide, we’ve seen her out and about in public a few times with her husband.
The common link in their appearance? The color Red.Of course.
Victoria Starmer is currently wearing a shirt dress from the Smhkai brand, formerly known by its founder Jonathan Simkhai, paired with white leather sneakers. It’s a trend that hasn’t been seen for years among the wives of prominent politicians in the UK, and it seems that Victoria’s reign is changing.

There is already much to be excited about as Downing Street’s new couple brings a breath of fresh air not just to national politics but also to style. Keir Starmer seems to be closer to anyone
modern and contemporary suit brands that of the excellence and tradition of Savile Row. In the same way that Victoria moved away from the luxury brands and more conservative designs worn by the last occupant of her official residence, the new First Lady has turned to more affordable brands and simpler, more functional designs.

Also upon arrival in Washington, where she accompanied her husband on his first trip as British Prime Minister, Victoria Starmer also wore a long dress with sophisticated elegance and simplicity in red. Although to be fair, it must be said that a public health worker also chooses, on more formal occasions, to wear white and accessories such as jewels with silver finishes, including shoes with sensible heels.
This was the case at the state dinner held on June 25, an event where Starmer’s wife wore a bridal-inspired dress, with beaded embroidery and a cape, from the brand Needle & Thread. A winning combination that showed that, despite deviating from her iconic red, her simple and natural elegance is always a guarantee of success.
