TUI adds ChatGPT to its UK mobile app

TUI Group incorporated ChatGPT into its mobile app in the UK to guide customers with informative answers about destinations and personalized recommendations for tours, activities and attraction tickets, according to a statement.

“Bringing ChatGPT to mobile applications is part of TUI’s initiative to implement AI functions in all business areas,” the company emphasized.

Depending on the level of detail customers provide about the type of experience they want, such as a culinary activity, adventure excursion, or museum visit, the app will list “more refined and relevant” descriptions, images, and links for the suggested experiences. .

For TUI Group CEO Sebastian Ebel, ChatGPT technology can help simplify processes and services for customers or facilitate access to information.

Other tests were also conducted with generative AI tools, such as communication with customers after the holidays, automated knowledge base analysis to assist contact center teams and content translation into other languages, and other applications assisting the TUI technology team with code generation and testing.
