MADRID, October 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, this Friday emphasized the importance of ensuring effective wheat exports from Ukrainian ports and through the Black Sea in the context of the Russian invasion.
During a call that Sunak described as “good”, the two discussed the situation on the front line and the possibility of strengthening the country’s air defenses against attacks by the Russian Army.
“Our support for Ukraine and the defense of its freedoms remains strong. As I said before, (Vladimir) Putin will fall,” Sunak said in a message broadcast via his account on the X social network, formerly known as Twitter.
He also reaffirmed Britain’s unconditional support for Ukraine and its “sovereignty and territorial integrity” and stated that “the conflict in the Middle East will not change this.” “It is important to protect the principles of the rule of law, which enable people to live in peace and stability,” he said, according to a British Government statement.
Zelensky, for his part, updated Sunak on the latest developments on the front lines and praised the “courage and success of the Armed Forces as they continue to confront Russian forces.”
In addition, he guaranteed that the grain corridor “will continue to function despite all threats” and warned that Moscow will continue its efforts to “occupy the entire Donbas,” even though it is suffering “painful losses.”
