brussels, 28 June 2023.- The Galicia Europa Foundation (FGE), the representative body of the Xunta before the European Union, closed its European project in its Brussels office Atlantic Youth Creative Center (Aych), in which he participates through the EuroXuventude program. The closing which reviewed the activities carried out and their impact, was attended by young people and young participants, as well as collaborating entities from Galicia, Portugal, France, Ireland and England.
Project aych seeks to promote innovation among young people, connecting SMEs with new talents and knowledge so that the newest ones can follow a career or education journey in the creative sector. Thus, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship and education among youth are promoted in creative, digital and technological fields in the Atlantic Region.
The activity developed is a call creative jam, workshops that bring together youth, partners, agencies and decision makers to facilitate creative opportunities. In the field of computers, the so-called hackathon, similar in form but digitally. Galicia organized two of these activities, one in Santiago de Compostela and one in Lugo. Apart from that, Galicia was also represented at the event aych held in Nantes last May.
FGE’s European Policy technical coordinator in Brussels, Vanessa Lobo, appreciated the interest of the young people participating in advancing and improving the situation of their communities. Lobo remembers the common problems faced by Europe’s Atlantic region, but shows his confidence in the new generation and his ability to deal with them.
#EuroXuventude
The #EuroXuventude platform is a space for Galician youth where they can consult the projects and opportunities offered by the European Union for them. The fruit of a collaboration between the Galicia Europa Foundation and the General Directorate of Youth, Participation and Volunteering, the aim is to promote active and participatory Galician youth and citizenship in community-building processes.
