For 12 days, 13 countries will participate in the Nordic Art Challenge Exercise (ACE) aerial exercise.

The exercise is primarily a Nordic collaboration, but several NATO countries are also participating. During the exercise, about 2,700 people and more than 150 aircraft will participate.

In total, the exercise will be operated from four bases: Ørland in Norway, Kallax in Sweden, and Rovaniemi and Pirkkala in Finland.

On Friday, several media outlets reported that the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier would also participate in the exercise. This has not been confirmed, either by the operational headquarters of the Norwegian Armed Forces (FOH) or the Norwegian Air Force, which is in charge of the exercises in Norway.

“So far they haven’t participated in the training, if there is an opportunity we will be happy to meet with them,” said Information Advisor Sigurd Tonning-Olsen at the Indonesian Air Force to West Nusa Tenggara, Wednesday.
