Tucker Carlson in text: “I hate Trump so much”

In light of the lawsuit that Dominion has brought against Fox News, new and open text messages from Fox News employees appeared in American newspapers on Wednesday.

Dominion believes that the TV channel’s employees helped tarnish the company by promoting allegations that Donald Trump was a victim of vote fraud during the presidential election.

It’s no secret that Trump and several Fox News employees have a close relationship. Host Sean Hannity, among others, has provided political advice to Trump.

Tucker Carlson, host of one of America’s most watched news programs, is also a known Trump supporter.

At least outwardly.

Due to the lawsuit, a new dose of internal communications from Fox News people has now been made public.

“We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I can’t wait,” Carlson wrote in a text to a colleague on January 4, 2021, he wrote Washington Post.

Then he added:

“I really hate it. What he is good at is destroying things. He is the undisputed world champion in that regard. He can easily destroy us if we misplay him”.

Dominion is seeking $1.6 billion in damages from Fox News.

The trial has not yet been scheduled. Dominion and Fox News are currently presenting evidence on each side, in order for the court to decide whether there are grounds to allow the lawsuit to be processed by the court.
