Culture and entertainment: The dancer, who lives in Oslo, has been involved in the program for the contribution of Norway, “Queen of Kings” Alessandra Mele from the very beginning. He was brought in by a friend who is a choreographer, and who is also a dancer this time.

Samuelsen had previously taken part in a show at the Norwegian Melodies Grand Prix. Among other things, she became a dancer for Tix in 2021. However, because singing dancers are also needed at the international Eurovision finals, she did not participate.

– It’s always fun to get involved. Because these are some of the biggest jobs you can get in Norway, the dancer told NTB.

– But I’m not really into listening to all the songs and watching all the semifinals or having my own points system. I watched the dancers and the stage show. I think that’s the most fun, says Ola Samuelsen.

In total, the Eurovision show is estimated at 200 million people.

– Will be fun. This is the greatest thing I have done. I’m so excited. I’m not that scared, but I’m more excited to be a part of this scheme, said the dancer from Bardufoss.

– They’re not that heavy, but long. So they can slow down a bit, so you have to give more, explains Samuelsen.

The family was interested in traveling to the Eurovision city of Liverpool.

– But firstly, it’s expensive, and secondly, it’s just full speed. And for ordinary people – those who are not really into Eurovision – I think it’s best to watch the event on TV, said the dancer.

– But we on the crew are a family, so I think it will go well, he added.

Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra pulled off a resounding victory in last year’s competition in Turin, but Russia’s invasion of the country has led the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to choose England as the venue for this year’s competition.

Norway and Alessandra Mele with “Queen of Kings” top the list of possible winners of the game, but Sweden and Loreen are the big favorites. Both are in the first semifinal which will be held on Tuesday, May 9.

The final is Saturday May 13th.

A special element during the performance is the light stick, which provides an extra challenge for the dancers.

The United Kingdom is the host country for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, with Ukraine as co-host.
