With brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini allowing themselves to be seduced by the launch of a electric carDespite the fact that many years ago they disavowed this technology, there are still manufacturers who reject this ‘zero emissions’ trend.
Pagans are one of them. It was 2018 when they confirmed they were working on developing a high-performance model with an electric propulsion system. But a few years ago they ditched this project and, for now, remain isolated.
The current problem is that the battery pack is very heavy and within their brand it had not occurred to them to launch an ’emissions-free’ model which was not as light as the cars we are used to.
Has come out of mouth Christopher Paganison of the founder, who made sure that existing technology didn’t allow them to sell the kind of cars their customers wanted and expected.
Therefore, what we will see coming out of the Pagani factory will still be gasoline-powered vehicles. A 6.0 liter twin-turbo V12 signed by AMG. Or at least that is until at least 2035.
With the new emissions regulations, with some point still in the air, they can use a powerful combustion block for that 12 years into the future and for that there is still a long time. Later they will decide where to go.
