The London Challenge immersion program organized by ICEX and Red.es brings together London’s digital, financial and creative powerhouses with two of the UK’s premier innovation and technology clusters: Oxford and Cambridge.

ICEX Spain Export and Investment, Red.es and the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in London have launched the second edition of their immersion program London Clean Tech Challenge directs Spanish cleantech startups looking to expand their business models internationally.

The program aims to introduce entrepreneurs to the digital, financial and creative power of London alongside two of the UK’s key innovation and technology clusters: Oxford and Cambridge, so they can gain the experience and knowledge necessary to achieve success. its global business model; encourage synergy between companies that have the same level of maturity and foster a community spirit among participants. It also aims to attract the attention of key ecosystem players who have an interest in promoting and supporting technology entrepreneurship in the sector.

“Cleantech” means: renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, clean and sustainable transportation technology, carbon capture, circular economy, water management and sustainable construction.

The London Challenge is managed and implemented by Cambridge Cleantech, the international climate technology innovation network, in collaboration with the Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) at the University of Cambridge and Oxfordshire Greentech,

Access requirements

To participate, startups must be founded in Spain and have headquarters in our country, and must have an innovative product or service from a technological point of view that is in the commercialization stage, with billing, and contributes to the achievement of a single goal. from Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) United Nations.

In the course of deepening, the company must be represented by a founder or director. If the activity is carried out in English, the assigned team must master the language well.

Two weeks of soaking

The Desafía program consists of a preparatory period in Madrid, preparatory (on October 18), followed by a immersion program in the UK ecosystem, From 13 to 24 November 2023, there are two weeks of executive training, networking and participation in the ecosystem through the UK’s “golden triangle”: London, Oxford and Cambridge.
