XPO Logistics, a leading provider of freight forwarding and distribution services, has announced the promotion of Nigel Rouch to the position of Senior Vice President of Technology Europe. Rouch will lead XPO’s technology organization and digital strategy for its European businesses, reporting to Luis Gomez, president of XPO Logistics Europe, and Pat Petersen, the company’s chief technology officer. Rouch has risen from his role as Vice President of IT and Operational Excellence for the UK and Ireland, which he held until 15 May 2022.
Rouch has 17 years of experience in the sector, having led various technology initiatives for operational excellence. In 2004 he joined XPO’s European predecessor, Norbert Dentressangle, and has since been Director of Technology, Projects and Purchasing in the UK and Ireland. Previously, he was responsible for warehouse system implementation and corporate management at global logistics company TDG.
