The Gordon Murray Group today announced its new Technology Division, a boost to its leadership and new facilities in the UK and US, to propel the business towards greater growth and success in the future.
Professor Gordon Murray, former chief executive of the group, has been announced as executive chairman of the company, with responsibility for all product development and design. His role as Group CEO has been filled by Philip Lee, who will lead the future growth and financial and business performance of the Group.
The Gordon Murray Group now includes two main divisions: Gordon Murray Technology and Gordon Murray Automotive. The new technology business comprises Gordon Murray Design, Gordon Murray Electronics and has been established to serve global automotive companies in all aspects of vehicle development, design and manufacturing. GMT is already developing two state-of-the-art electric SUVs, one for a major automaker, and is in advanced talks with global car companies for future projects.

Both Gordon Murray Automotive and Gordon Murray Technology will be based at the group’s global headquarters and new technology campus, located in Windlesham Surrey. Project development has begun and will be fully completed by 2024.
