Ole Selnæs was given over NOK 120 million
Former Rosenborg player Ole Selnæs has been awarded NOK 120 million from the International Football Association (FIFA). Selnæs filed a complaint with Shenzhen China when his salary was not paid. He was approved by FIFA, and recognized 11 million euros in arrears, equivalent to NOK 126 million, wrote Adresseavisen.
Trønder terminated his contract with the Chinese club in May 2022. According to a ruling from FIFA, Selnæs has been awarded 5.3 million euros in unpaid wages for the period September 2021 to May 2022. He has been awarded an additional 5.7 million euros in compensation for breaches contract. Selnæs has a contract that runs until January 2023.
Selnæs’ agent, Bjørn Tore Kvarme, would not comment on the matter. Selnæs wrote the following in a message to the newspapers:
– This case is almost a year old and has no relevance to this day, writes Selnæs.
Selnæs has yet to comment on newspaper inquiries about whether the money has been paid. FIFA informed Adresseavisen that the decision from September is final and generally they do not comment on whether the money has been paid or not.
Since the summer of 2022, Selnæs has been playing for the Swiss team Zürich.
