Through the use of AI, an Israeli company can select the best embryos for IVF treatment

Israeli technology will begin to be implemented by British fertility clinics.

Fertilization treatment in vitrousually called IVF by its acronym in English, is a way of referring to procedures currently performed to avoid or reduce genetic and fertility problems and to ensure that women have viable and healthy pregnancies.

It consists in extracting mature eggs from the ovaries. These eggs are fertilized with sperm outside the body, in a laboratory. Finally, the fertilized egg implants in the uterus. It is an increasingly common method of assisted reproduction around the world.

Fairtility is an Israeli company based in Tel Aviv tasked with increasing the effectiveness of fertilization treatments in vitro. As? They developed an Artificial Intelligence assistant, called CHLOE (Cultivating Human Life through an Optimal Embryo). With this tool, doctors will have more information when determining embryos with the best potential for implantation and further development.

This innovative Artificial Intelligence system is trained to store and analyze millions of data points to score each embryo based on its future health and survival.

The Center for Reproductive Health and Genetics (CRGH) in London, England will begin applying this technology to its IVF treatment. The goal is to optimize as well as increase each patient’s chances of success.
