European royal houses are no strangers to scandal.
Recently, we have served the public laundries of the royal houses in Denmark and the United Kingdom.
Miss the royal family
In particular, Prince Harry’s recent interview, 38, prompted BT royal reporter Jacob Heinel Jensen to draw parallels between the two royal families.
– The situation is very similar
In a recent video clip from an upcoming interview with Prince Harry, he spoke of a frosty relationship with his father, King Charles, 73, and brother, Prince William, 40.
In the interview clip, in which you can’t hear any questions asked, only Harry answers, he says that the family has shown no desire whatsoever for reconciliation.
– It shouldn’t have happened like this. (…) I want a family, not an institution, is one thing he says.
According to Heinel Jensen, these were some “rather wild statements”.
– I can’t help but think that the situation is very similar to that in the Danish royal house. Here, too, we have a situation where part of the family has been sidelined so they cannot communicate in any other way than through the press, the royal reporter explained to BT
Have to apologize
Last fall, Denmark’s Queen Margrethe (82) announced that she would strip Prince Joachim (53) of her four children from their princely and princess titles over the New Year.
Both Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie, 46, have stated that they are surprised by the Queen’s decision. Among other things, the prince could say that he only had five days’ notice.
– Big surprise
The queen’s second sons, Crown Prince Frederik (54) and his wife Crown Princess Mary (50), have publicly supported the election of Queen Margrethe.
Later, Queen Margrethe came out and apologized for the effect the decision had on the family.
However, Heinel Jensen emphasized that only the way the two royal families openly communicate family crises is very similar.
Unlike Harry and Meghan, 41, Prince Joachim and his own family don’t want to leave the royal house.
Shouldn’t expect a big reveal
Despite sensational statements in Prince Harry’s upcoming interview, we shouldn’t expect any big reveal, believes Jacob Heinel Jensen.
Interesting
Since they stepped down from the British royal family, the couple has gradually “dropped so many bombs you can’t hear them anymore”, according to the expert.
As such, he hopes ITV will live up to its promise when it says it will challenge the Sussexes’ previous statements.
– First of all: Why did you sign a multi-million dollar contract with Netflix when you stepped down from the royal family wanting to stay away from the media?
