ARENDAL (Dagbladet:) Two representatives of Storting Sofie Marhaug (32) and Mimir Kristjansson (35) have found happiness together.
The two confirmed to Dagbladet that they were in a relationship. Neither Kristjansson nor Marhaug wanted to comment further on Dagbladet’s questions about courtship.
The two are expected in Arendal this week, when political elites meet for the annual democracy dance during Arendal Week.
Apart from politics, Kristjansson has made a name for himself as a writer, reality show participant, and social debater.
Marhaug has distinguished himself as Rødt’s spokesman on energy issues, and penalized the government’s electricity policy throughout the spring and summer.
Moxnes with new women
Together, they were part of the record-breaking parliamentary group Rødt.
The two turtle doves were elected to their first term in Lovebakken in last year’s general election.
Red guru Karl Marx is said to have said that love is powerless if it is not reciprocated – also party leaders Marhaug and Kristjansson recently appeared with new girlfriends. Bjørnar Moxnes (40) has found happiness again with communications advisor Lina Aas-Eng (36).
Save the heart
Marhaug and Kristjansson now join a long line of parliamentary pairs.
Conservative leaders Linda Hofstad Helleland and Trond Helleland are happily married, while former Labor leader Arild Grande is with current Labor leader Lene Vågslid.
The way love is known to be very elusive, and hearts don’t always beat in time with party colors. Among the current lovers at Lovebakken are Sivert Bjørnstad of Frp and Conservative politician Mari Holm Lønseth.
