First Political Consultation Meeting with Cambodia

In the economic field, it was agreed to encourage trade promotion actions to expand and diversify them, through meetings between the business chambers and the private sector to develop the large potential that exists.

In terms of cooperation, perspectives on football were discussed, including through schools and training institutes for Argentine players, as well as issues of gender, tourism and technical cooperation based on Argentina’s experience in agriculture, biotechnology and teaching Spanish. aspect.

During the meeting, viewpoints were also exchanged on respective priorities in the Asia Pacific region, as well as on the possibility of greater collaboration between Argentina and ASEAN, an organization to which Cambodia is a part and which as a whole represents a fifth world economy. .

Argentina thanked Cambodia for its support in the G77 plus China, highlighting the need for negotiations between Argentina and the UK to resume as soon as possible to peacefully resolve the sovereignty disputes over the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, South Sandwich and environs. maritime space, in accordance with relevant United Nations General Assembly resolutions.
