“As a fifteenth generation farmer, this is a dream job for me,” says Anne Dingstad in Saga Robotics.
The Robotics Saga has received a lot of attention for the strawberry picking robot Thorvald. Then they develop into grape vines. They now call themselves one of the world’s leading agricultural technology companies, with around 50 employees operating in Norway, the UK and the US. This week it became clear that finance manager Anne Dingstad was rising as top manager for the company, while Pål founder Johan From moved to the role of Chief Product Officer.
– As a fifteenth generation farmer, this is a dream job for me. I can use my international experience in business expansion, scaling and building, while at the same time contributing to creating sustainable food production with Norwegian technology, Dingstad said in a message.
The right person in the right role
Saga Robotics technology reduces pesticide use and reduces CO2 emissions, while at the same time farmers increase crop yields. Pål CEO Johan From said that he will dedicate its full capacity to the further development of the Thorvald robot, driving further growth and value creation.
– As we have grown, it has become increasingly important to have the right people in the right roles, and I am delighted to be able to entrust the overall management of the company to a capable person like Anne. I’m also very motivated to be able to focus on the part of the company where I can make the biggest difference – the development of our product range, says From, who is still the biggest owner of Saga.
Farmers and leading stars
Prior to joining Saga Robotics, Dingstad held various international management positions and extensive operational experience in mobile and digital businesses.
Dingstad owns and lives on the Dingstad farm. He is a civil economist from NHH with a CEMS Master’s degree in International Management from the Norwegian and St.Gallen Schools of Economics, and has studied entrepreneurship at Boston University. Dingstad has an armed forces background, including a Russian A course, and a Commander course at the Norwegian Defense Academy. Dingstad was one of Capital’s leading stars at 40 under 40 in 2018 and top 3 leading talent at E24 in 2014.
