Helvetia Global Solutions has received regulatory approval for its UK branch to develop its specialty lines business. Authorization comes into effect this Wednesday, November 1, and includes international risk underwriting in fields such as general aviation and maritime business.
UK Branch This film was directed by Marc Davis, who joined the group on October 1 last year. He was country manager for the UK and Ireland at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, director of commercial distribution at RSA and, previously, head of sales and marketing at Marsh’s IRM division in the country.
The group highlighted in its statement that The opening of this branch opens up opportunities for sustainable international growth which contributes significantly to the ‘profitable growth’ strategic priority of Helvetia’s strategy 20.25.
The opening of the branch was in response to Brexitto which UK businesses can only subscribe under the freedom to provide services regime until 31 December 2023. Helvetia already offers dedicated lines coverage in the UK and will be able to continue this business thanks to regulatory approval.
