MACHINE | Hyundai is strengthening its Mocean subscription service to continue expanding across Europe

VALENCE. Hyundai Motor Europe has announced a partnership with Norwegian startup Casi to expand its global mobility brand, Mocean Subscription, to new markets in Europe. Thanks to this partnership, Mocean’s subscription service, successfully implemented in the UK and Spain since 2021, will be expanded across the continent in the coming months.

Hyundai believes Car-sharing is one of the pillars of sustainable mobility in the future, driving accelerated adoption of electric vehicles across Europe and advancing new forms of mobility. Through its customer-centric vision, the company offers users a flexible ownership model with comprehensive automotive services that facilitate their access to Hyundai’s range of electric vehicles.

Through its technology, Casi will provide Hyundai Motor Europe with all the tools necessary to take Mocean’s subscription service to the next level. Among them, improving payment management functions and vehicle management. On the customer side, the new partnership includes highly automated integrations, which are essential for a simple and seamless experience, across payments, credit checks, subscription management and customer service. This new infrastructure will help drive Mocean’s expansion across Europe.

How Mocean subscriptions work

Mocean Subscription is Hyundai’s global mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) brand. With no registration fees and a fully digital user experience, customers can enjoy a fast registration process from the first click to delivery of their vehicle, with a wide selection of new and used cars to choose from.

Subscriptions can last from one month in Spain and three months in the UK, up to 24 months, and focus on offering a sign-up process that only requires a few clicks.

During the completely digital process, customers simply select the car they want and how long they want it, enter the details, and once approved, the car will be delivered straight to their door within five to ten days. You can also choose to pick up your car at your local Hyundai dealer.

Once contracted, all automotive costs are included in Mocean’s monthly fee: insurance, roadside assistance, road tax and maintenance at an authorized Hyundai dealer. Everything except charging or refueling. For maximum flexibility, Mocean Subscription customers can choose to change vehicles every six months to suit their lifestyle. Those wishing to cancel their subscription can do so with one month’s notice*.
