International singer Madonna was forced to cancel her world tour ‘The Celebration Tour’ due to a serious bacterial infection which forced her to spend several days in the intensive care unit. This has been confirmed by his ‘talent manager’, Guy Oseary, who has reported on the artist’s condition.
On June 24, the artist contracted a serious infection. Although his health is improving, he is still under medical care. The 64-year-old singer is one of the most important figures in the history of pop music.
“At this time we need to terminate all commitments, including touring,” said his manager through an official statement. In turn, he said that when more details became known, the concert scheduled for July would be rescheduled.
The Celebration Tour begins on July 15, 2023 in Vancouver (Canada) and continues across the United States, United Kingdom and Europe until December 6, 2023, with the final concert in London (United Kingdom).
The pop icon had planned to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her first single, Holiday, by going on a career greatest hits tour.
Dubbed the “Celebration Tour”, this will be the singer’s return to stadiums after her experimental theater-based “Madame X” shows in 2019 and 2020. All these dates will be rescheduled.
