A woman in her 40s and a man in his 20s were arrested today for murder in Skien. Both were charged with murder or involvement in the murder of 58-year-old Heidi Flood.
City worker in Skien was found dead on Thursday.
– The initial autopsy report from the 58-year-old man confirmed that the woman was murdered, police said.
Police want to contact people who had contact with Heidi Flood on Monday or Tuesday this week.
It is currently unknown how the two defendants will respond to the charges.
Used to be a nursing assistant
Flood was found dead in his own home in Skien. The discovery occurred around 4pm on Tuesday.
– On Wednesday it became known that one of the municipal employees unfortunately fell victim to what police believe to be the murder in Skien on Tuesday night, the municipality of Skien wrote in a press release on Wednesday evening. It writes Telemark newspaper.
Telemarksavisa wrote that the woman must have been an auxiliary nurse in the municipality of Skien.
The city government is now following its colleagues closely.
– Crisis support is provided to those who need it.
An acquaintance of the woman found her inside the house and alerted emergency services, according to police.
Not connected yet
The defense attorney for the accused woman in her 40s, attorney Tollef Skobba, told Dagbladet that he had not been in contact with his client until now. Therefore, he was unable to state how the woman faced the accusation.
Heidi Ysen has been appointed as relief attorney for the victims, Dagbladet was told by District Court Nedre Telemark.
Police stated that the defense for the accused man would be clarified in the evening.
