Meliá completed renovations to the Meliá White House hotel

Meliá Hotels International has completed the renovation of its London flagship: the Meliá White House, after a process that spanned five years and required an investment of 40 million pounds (46 million euros).

The development of one of the UK’s most emblematic hotels is part of Meliá Hotels International’s commitment to renewing its portfolio.

The hotel reform has included 581 rooms, as well as a restaurant area, meeting rooms and common areas. ASAH’s architectural and interior design team have led the transformation, preserving the building’s original art deco style, dating back to the 1930s.

“We are very pleased with the results of these reforms, as we have opened a new chapter for one of our most emblematic hotels and which has become a tremendous success story in the UK”, he stressed. Garry’s luckDirector of Operations at Meliá Hotels International in the United Kingdom.

Each space has been designed to be part of the other; therefore, there are no doors or barriers in the common areas, allowing guests to easily move from one place to another. In fact, a key part of the renovation was the relocation of the Arado restaurant and 35 Bar & Lounge, which can now be accessed directly from the lobby.

Conversely, The Level, the premium service of the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand, has also been part of the reinvention of the establishment.

Along with the renovation of public areas, the hotel’s biggest transformation can be seen in the 581 rooms. Meliá White House also has 111 long-term apartments, a 24-hour gym and 9 rooms for meetings and events, all multi-purpose and equipped with the latest technology and a professional event team.
