Many of the analyzed queries seek information about the metaverse there is to do ad campaign and how much will be invested in it in this type of virtual world in the future.

Gómez-Acebo added that “this first major report is a very faithful photograph of the great attention the metaverse is generating in most societies and especially in the most vibrant sectors of the economy, the new virtual environment that no one wants to be late.”

Other job opportunities in the metaverse that generate a lot of interest are those related to the creation and commercialization of NFTs, working in marketing and advertising or 3D design, as well as working as Data specialists.
“Although the construction of the metaverse is still in its early stages, the analyzed searches also reflect internet users’ concerns about legal aspects,” explains Rosa Gómez-Acebo. As an example, how intellectual property will be registered in metaverse and who will protect identity in this new cyberspace, or how NFT works legally and who is responsible in case of NFT or identity theft. Another legal question about the metaverse on the rise is whether there will be a way to provide legal certainty for companies doing business in this environment and what actions are being taken to protect consumers.
