Molde is ready for the group stage in the Conference League for the first time. They made things difficult for themselves after lost in the first match 0-1, but a 4–0 win in the return match broadcast by VG+ ensured progress for Moldens.

– We played a fantastic away game today. We deliver to the letter. It is a joy to see them. We could have won more,” Erling Moe told VG, after the game.

DREAM NIGHT: Front from left: Oliver Petersen, Markus André Kaasa, Emil Breivik, Ola Brynhildsen. Second row from left: Johan Bakke, Magnus Grødem, Kristian Eriksen, Sivert Mannsverk, Erling Knudtzon. Back row: David Fofana, Martin Bjørnbak, Niklas degård, Kristoffer Haugen, Jacob Karlstrm, Eirik Haugan, Benjamin Hansen, Birk Risa, Rafik Zekhnini, Mathis Bolly, Mathias Fjørtoft Løvik and Magnus Wolff Eikrem.

Molde started the game with a dream. It only took about five minutes before Emil Breivik kick outside the penalty box.

– Those are the kind of dream matches you get from time to time, Emil Breivik told VG.

– You know it’s going to be a good night when he gets hit like that, said Magnus Wolff Eikrem, with a twinkle in his eye.

GRIEL: Emil Breivik and David Fofana have plenty to smile about in the return game against Wolfsberg.

After 33 minutes, the visitors held on with a great counter-attack. David Fofana and Magnus Wolff Eikrem worked well together and the latter played for Sivert Mannsverk. From fifteen yards he used the inside of his foot and placed the ball beautifully in the nearest corner.

– Very well done. Molde is running the game here. This is somewhat as expected. They are better than Wolfsberg, says football expert Christian Gauseth at studio VG.

Molde had good control in the second half too. After more than half the half played, Markus André Kaasa danced inside the penalty box. Hendrik Bonmann provided a modest return and there stood Ola Brynhildsen and stabbed in the night third.

– So delicious for Ola Brynhildsen, exclaimed the football commentator at VG, Vegard Aulstad.

Three minutes into extra time, Wolfsberg had most of them in attack, and then Brynhildsen got plenty of space to attack. He took full advantage of that when he scored 4-0.

Therefore, Moldens can look forward to the Conference League fixtures this fall.

Conference League group draw is 2:30pm on Friday.
