More than 200,000 mobile phones have been reused and recycled as Vodafone and WWF mark the first anniversary of the collaboration agreement, which began in November 2022 with the aim of using technology to address environmental impacts and make greener decisions by driving change in a more sustainable direction . circular economy.

In this way, during the first year of the three-year expiration of this agreement, through the ‘One million mobile phones for the planet’ program, Vodafone has collected 210,000 used and used mobile phones for responsible reuse and recycling.

In the case of Vodafone Spain, as one of the countries participating in the cooperation, a total of 28,221 terminals were collected, of which almost 22,422 have been reconditioned for reuse and the rest have been recycled, according to the company. . Additionally, every phone collected during this program will involve a portion of Vodafone’s donation to WWF conservation projects around the world.
